Cue
Completed in 1895 during the rapid expansion of the Murchison Goldfields, the Cue Post Office was constructed to serve one of Western Australia's most prosperous mining communities.
Designed by the Public Works Department, the building quickly became an essential communications hub,
providing postal, telegraph, and government services that connected the remote goldfields with Perth and the rest of Australia.
For more than 130 years, the post office has remained an important part of Cue's history.
Today, operating as a Licensed Post Office (LPO), it continues a proud tradition of serving local residents, businesses, and visitors while preserving its place as one of the town's most recognisable heritage buildings.
The Cue Post Office stands as a lasting reminder of the town's rich goldfields heritage and the enduring importance of postal services in regional Western Australia.
