Post Offices

Dwellingup

Constructed in the early twentieth century, the Dwellingup Post Office was established to support the growing timber town and its expanding community.
Situated in the heart of the town, the post office became an essential communications hub, providing postal, telegraph,
and government services to residents, local businesses, and the surrounding forestry industry.

The post office played an important role in the development of Dwellingup, particularly during the town's years as a thriving timber centre.
Following the devastating bushfires of 1961, which destroyed much of the town, Dwellingup was rebuilt, and postal services continued to serve the resilient community.
Today, the post office remains an important part of the town, reflecting both its rich timber heritage and its enduring community spirit.
