Pinjarra
Constructed in 1896, the Pinjarra Post Office is one of Western Australia's finest examples of Federation Arts and Crafts public architecture.
Designed by renowned Colonial Architect George Temple-Poole, the two-storey building originally accommodated the post office on the ground floor, with residential quarters for the postmaster and family above.
For more than a century, the building served as the heart of postal and telecommunications services in the Murray district.
Following the relocation of postal services to the nearby Pinjarra Junction shopping centre in 2008,
the historic building found a new purpose while remaining a treasured landmark within Pinjarra's heritage precinct and a significant reminder of the town's history.
